The Prime Minister of Kosovo Albin Kurti said that the increase in the price of electricity in Kosovo in the pocket of the citizen is minimal. According to him, the state wallet has paid much more than the citizen of Kosovo.
Kurti blames this on the lack of capacity building for energy and the increase in the electricity exchange, which has led to an increase in the price of electricity.
“In the absence of capacities that Kosovo has, what is required is not achieved and they are forced to import. “Citizens should save as much electricity as possible because they save for themselves but also save the state wallet”, said Kurti in an interview for the public broadcaster. He said that the price of electricity in Kosovo is not expensive compared to other countries, but that as Kurti said the price would be even cheaper as new power plants would be built.
Kurti in this interview also spoke about “rise in the economy” under his rule, while he said that recognitions have stalled in the last decade due to asymmetric dialogue. “Many countries that have not recognized us have used dialogue as a pretext for non-recognition,” said Kurti.
