The Mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj assures that there will be no withdrawal from the project for the construction of the new neighborhood of “5 Maji”.

As long as I am mayor, no compromise! I have seen it all, with the media, even drug traffickers, even these portals that impose fines, we must move forward and give the message that in 2022, lawlessness, hooliganism, crime, the trafficker does not set the agenda of the city. The agenda of the city, especially this year, will be set by our young people, the excellent boys and girls of Tirana, who do not owe anyone “, declared Veliaj.
Residents affected by the construction of the new neighborhood in the area of ”5 May” will be compensated 100% for their property. Based on the decision approved by the government, it is ensured that all residents affected by this project will receive full compensation, through the exchange of their property with the new facilities that will be built in the new neighborhood. Likewise, homeowners in the process of legalization, will now benefit from the same area in square meters, in new buildings that are being erected in the same area. Beneficiaries of this project will also be families who have had illegal constructions, expropriating 100% of the area of the building without a permit. Most of the families affected by the reconstruction project have already signed the contract with the Municipality of Tirana and with the completion of the apartments will receive the keys to the apartments in hand. Meanwhile, the municipality has undertaken to provide a rent bonus for the affected residents, until they move into new housing.
