For years Pusteci has been considered as one of the areas with high tourist potential but despite this the basic infrastructure is missing.
Last year the villages of the municipality of Pustec were frequented by almost 65 thousand visitors and this year there is interest again but despite this lake there are no beaches, which means that it is mostly about vacationers visiting the island of Maligrad or hermit churches without being able to enjoy the lake.
Unlike other lakes in the country where the beaches can be relaxed and enjoyed during the summer, in Pustec they can not be used because they are covered with grass, soil and other pollution.
The Municipality of Pustec finds it impossible to intervene for investments due to the small budget, so it is limited only to the maintenance and cleaning of waste, while for major changes that would significantly improve the tourism offer but also the livelihood of the community, government intervention is expected.
The two nearest public beaches on Lake Prespa are located in the villages of Zaroshka and Pustec but apart from the signs proving their location nothing resembles a normal shore where you can relax.
