With the motto “Let ‘s listen to each other”, Prime Minister Edi Rama started on Wednesday afternoon the public communication with the citizens. Through this communication on the social network Facebook, Rama introduced the citizens with the National Counseling form.
The Albanian Prime Minister indicated that every citizen over 18 years of age will fill out the form with the aim of helping to resolve these topics.
“You will begin to receive national counseling letters in your homes. The government will ask for your opinion on a number of topics related to justice, corruption and those related to the progress of the integration process. It is a very simple form where each member of a family will complete and return it to enable us to have a more accurate generalization. You can get this form physically at your apartment or online in e-albania“, Said Rama, revealing the” referendum “on some of the most delicate issues.
Rama indicated that it will be a listening process that goes beyond the political majority and it is about a series of questions whose purpose is to hear the problems of the citizens as seriously as possible.
“Its completion will not be mandatory“, Said the Prime Minister, in his first appearance for 2022.
He said that a key issue that will be worked on is the “tightening” of the insurance scheme, in order for everyone to contribute.
Prime Minister Rama mentioned only the part where the state budget itself is damaged, calling it “robbery of the pension scheme”.
He underlined that this behavior of businesses “makes it impossible to increase pensions”.
“We will take really painful measures for those who will not react to the incorrect declaration of salaries“, Said Rama.
The Rama government has tried several times to fight this phenomenon, which the leak proved to have spread massively in Albania. Yes the leak showed that the government’s efforts so far have been ineffective.
“Tighten the insurance scheme, so that everyone contributes, not that some hide money to avoid taxes and social contributions“, Said Rama.
The last time Rama promised a fight against tax evasion and undeclared employees was during the pandemic. He vowed to “reward” employees who denounced their employer.
According to him, this initiative comes even after the scandal of publishing salaries, where it was noticed that a good part had not declared the full salary of their employees.
Asked by the public about the energy crisis of Kosovo and Albania, he said that “Albania is succeeding” in facing the energy crisis.
But according to him, “without letting it slide to citizens or businesses.”
“This confrontation has a cost“, Said Rama, continuing with the answers to other questions.
Rama also stopped at the reconstruction, for which the public asked about the lack of household appliances and their furnishing.
“So far it has been the obligation of the Albanian government”, he said, “with the taxes of the Albanians more has been done than normal”.
According to the head of government, “thousands of houses have been built with the state budget and are being given for free”.
“There are no free reconstruction programs and it is superfluous to require equipment”.
He indicated that he intends to return home for a considerable number of families in Thumanë, Durrës, Tirana, Kavaja, Rrogozhinë, Kurbin and Manzë.
