A group of Albanian traffickers in Italy has been hit by police.
According to Italian mediain the early hours of today in the provinces of Parma, Arezzo, Grosseto and Rome, the order of measures was implemented against eight people accused of illegal possession and sale of drugs, money laundering and violence.
The detention measure was imposed on three people, in addition to the ban on staying in the province of Parma.
Another Italian and another Albanian citizen were also ordered to stay in the provinces of Arezzo and Grosseto.
They are suspected to be the main protagonists of a structured drug trafficking spread throughout the province of Parma and its environs. The suspects lived and worked mainly between Fidenza and Salsomaggiore.
It is suspected that the large revenues flowing from drug trafficking have been laundered mainly in Albania with investments in the real estate sector.
One of the three arrested is the young Albanian who a few days ago was attacked on the public street of Salsomaggiore. He was shot in the leg with three gunshots.
Following the investigations launched in 2018, Fidenza carabinieri had arrested three people for cocaine trafficking purposes, denouncing several others and seizing a significant amount of cocaine.
Finally, they had identified and denounced a total of 500 drug users.
Based on the investigations, they had managed to carry out about seven thousand drug sales with a total turnover estimated at around one million euros per year.
The court has issued an order to seize the amount of 400 thousand euros, their money or items.
