Puerto Rican music producer Flow La Movie was one of nine people killed when a private jet made emergency landings late last night at a Dominican Republic airport.
The 38-year-old producer, whose real name was Jose Angel Hernandez, died along with his girlfriend Debbie Von Marie Jiménez García, and their four-year-old son when the plane in the crash caught fire after landing.
Their social networks were filled with images where they enjoy private flights, while another Hernandez posed next to an airplane, which could be the composer’s last vivid photo.
The Gulfstream HI1050 was taking off from La Isabela Airport for Florida in the US, but reported an emergency aboard shortly after takeoff and diverted to the island of Hispaniolia.
But during landing the plane burst into flames on the runway.
“For Helidosa, where an accident causes us a lot of pain. “We stand in solidarity with the affected families, who, like us, are going through a difficult time,” he told the authorities.
Brigadier General Enmanuel Souffront Tamayo said it was still “premature” to discuss the causes of the accident.
In addition to Hernandez and his family, killed in the accident were also American citizens Keilyan Hernández Pena, 21, Yeilianys Jeishlimar Meléndez Jiménez, 18, and Jesiel Yabdiel Silva, 13.
Pilot Luis Tancredo, 47, and his co-pilot Emilio Herrera, with flight attendant Veronica Estrella, 26, also lost their lives.
