Renewable energy is one of the most important projects in many countries in the world, while the Arab countries are expected to reach their goal very soon.
““Arab states can get closer to achieving their renewable energy targets for 2030, if the planned solar and wind energy projects are completed, according to the set deadlines.” writes Reuters.
The planned projects will increase solar and wind capacity in the Arab states of the Middle East and North Africa over the next eight years.
In 2013, the Arab League pledged to increase the installed capacity of renewable energy production in the region to 80 GW by 2030.
Currently, Egypt is the country in the region that has the highest renewable resource capacity with 3.5 GW, followed by the United Arab Emirates with 2.6 GW and Morocco with 1.9 GW, said the Global Energy Monitor.
Oman, Morocco, Algeria and Kuwait are some of the countries with the most ambitious plans to expand their solar and wind capabilities.
