72 people who caused riots in the Dutch capital after Feynoord lost to “Air Albania” were arrested last night.
Fans vented their anger on the streets of Rotterdam after the Dutch team lost to Roma in the UEFA Conference League final match.
Police dispersed the crowd by throwing water at Coolsingel and Hofplein. The protesters threw fireworks and torches, and did not spare even the police officers, who fired them with stones and bottles. Two police officers received minor injuries.
There is extensive material damage in the city, including a damaged bus and tram. Police have begun collecting footage from security cameras in the area, to identify those responsible.
