The governor of the Donetsk region in Ukraine has claimed that Russia is not fulfilling its promise to allow a humanitarian corridor in Mariupol in the southeast.
The Red Cross, meanwhile, has indicated that it is trying to find various ways to send food and medicine to Mariupol, as it has been a long time since its citizens have received any food or medical assistance.
“The situation is dire and it is getting worse, now it is impossible to let people go and allow supplies to be allowed.” said Red Cross authorities.
They said they had sent three vehicles to Mariupol, which would transport supplies to the city, but two of them were not allowed to pass. Many buses carrying people from Mariupol have also been stopped by Russian forces.
