Regional Governor Pavlo Kirilenko has stated that Russian attacks in the eastern Donetsk region have left four people dead.
The Kremlin has intensified attacks in several cities, but has said its focus on the war will be Donbas – made up of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions.
A major offensive is expected to begin in the coming days following a troop rally in the region – which borders Russia.
