Russian cosmonauts have arrived at the International Space Station (ISS) dressed in Ukrainian colors.
Their arrival at the space station in Ukrainian colors seems to be an anti-occupation stance. The three cosmonauts are the first to arrive since Russia attacked its east-east neighbor last month.
They were welcomed on board, embracing and greeting their American, Russian and German counterparts.
The ISS is a joint project between Russia, the US, Canada, Japan and several European countries.
The mission is led by the United States and Russia, a two-decade-old partnership despite tensions between the world’s two superpowers.
Cosmonauts Denis Matveyev, Oleg Artemyev and Sergey Korsakov landed on the ISS after a 3-hour flight departing from Kazakhstan.
The moment when the cosmonauts appear dressed in yellow uniform and in shades of blue was broadcast by the US space agency, NASA and the Russian agency, Roscosmos.
