Ukrainian officials have confirmed that 10 people were killed by Russian forces in the northern city of Chernihiv this Wednesday.
A statement from Ukraine’s Prosecutor General’s Office said the attack took place around 10:00 a.m. local time (08:00 GMT) when Russian Armed Forces soldiers opened fire on people standing in line for bread near a grocery store.
It remains unclear how the 10 people were killed, but local media reporters told the BBC that the victims may have been shot by Russian soldiers stationed outside the city.
