More than 400 missiles have been fired by Russia over Ukraine since Thursday, the first day of the invasion.
According to the senior US defense official, the Ukrainians still have air-to-air missile systems that are intact and on standby.
The official also said that while Russia has not yet achieved air superiority, “there are areas where they have more control than others.”

The Russian army has intensified bombings in Kharkiv and other cities. A 60-kilometer Russian military convoy has currently arrived at the gates of the Ukrainian capital.
