Mariupol City Council has announced the cessation of evacuation of civilians until the next day from the besieged city.
In a Telegram post today, the city council said that for security reasons the evacuation of Mariupol’s civilian population, located in other parts of the city, was postponed to the next day.
This post also provided some details from the resumption of the evacuation which will take place at eight o’clock local time, near the Port City shopping center in Mariupol.
This Sunday the Ukrainian authorities together with the UN and the International Committee of the Red Cross confirmed that they were evacuating the civilians sheltered in the Azovstal steel plant.
