Prime Minister Edi Rama has reacted after the death of former US Secretary of State Madeleine Albright.
In a post on social networks, Rama says it is sad news, as she was the woman who oversaw Kosovo’s path to freedom.
“Sad news the separation from the life of the Secretary of State, Madeleine Albright, the woman who oversaw the path to freedom of Kosovo #RESPEKT”, Rama wrote on Facebook as he posted her photo with Hashim Thaçi.
Madeleine Albright has passed away today at the age of 84. She has been described as a “friend of the Albanians”, as she was in the position of Secretary of State during the war in Kosovo and had a crucial role in the organization and development of the Rambouillet Conference, which resulted in NATO intervention in Kosovo and the cessation of the expulsion and murder of the people of Kosovo and their freedom.
