The Ministry of Health has announced that 5 people have lost their lives from Covid-19 during the last 24 hours.
Despite the efforts of doctors, they lost their lives: Three citizens from Tirana 64-82 years old and two citizens from Durrës 73 and 87 years old.
While 3,656 tests were performed, of which 793 citizens tested positive for COVID19, in the following municipalities:
320 in Tirana, 40 in Vlora, 38 in Berat, 36 in Durrës, 32 in Fier, 24 in Saranda, 20 in Elbasan, 19 in Gjirokastra, 18 in Shkodra, Kamza, Lushnje, 14 in Tepelena, 13 in Korca, 12 in Mallakastër, Kuçovë, 11 in Vau Dejës, Krujë, 10 in Patos, 8 in Gramsh, 7 in Delvinë, Memaliaj, Dimal, 6 in Vora, Kavaja, Divjakë, Selenicë, 5 in Kurbin, Devoll, Prrenjas, 4 in Lezhë, Himara , Dropull, Pogradec, Peqin, 3 Malësi e Madhe, Kukës, Mirditë, Dibër, Mat, Kolonjë, Skrapar, Poliçan, 2 in Puka, Has, Tropojë, Rrogozhinë, Libohovë, Librazhd, 1 in Shijak, Rroskovec, Kelcyrë.
There are 14,502 active COVID19 patients nationwide.
Currently, 133 patients are being treated in COVID hospitals, of which 16 are in a more serious condition. In the last 24 hours, despite the efforts of the medical staff, there are five loss of life with SARS-COV2 positive: Three citizens from Tirana 64-82 years old and two citizens from Durrës 73 and 87 years old. The Ministry of Health and Social Protection expressed its condolences to the families.
1,548 citizens have been cured in the last 24 hours, bringing the number of cured to 246,087 since the beginning of the epidemic.
The Ministry of Health appeals to citizens to be vaccinated as soon as possible, to protect themselves and the health of others.
Any citizen over 16 years of age can be vaccinated at the health center or at the nearest centralized vaccination point.
Vaccination is also open for children +12 years old with immune system problems, with a doctor’s recommendation.
MSHMS appeals to citizens who have passed 6 months from the second dose of vaccine, to go to health centers or centralized vaccination points, to be vaccinated with the third booster dose.
AntiCOVID vaccines reduce the chance of infection and greatly avoid hospitalizations and fatalities.
The Ministry of Health reminds the citizens that the observance of anticovid protocols is a necessity for the protection of health.
Mask placement is mandatory in any enclosed environment. Avoid crowds and ventilate your premises to limit the spread of Covid-19.
If you suspect that you are affected by COVID19 or have signs of the disease, isolate yourself immediately and contact your family doctor to be tested as soon as possible or call the National Emergency on the unique number 127.
