The UN General Assembly has adopted a new resolution calling for an immediate end to Russia’s war in Ukraine.
The adopted resolution calls for help and civil protection against Ukraine and criticizes Russia for the war, which has not spared even ordinary people.
In the vote at UN headquarters in New York, 140 countries voted in favor and 38 abstained.
Five countries voted against the resolution, Russia, Syria, North Korea, Eritrea and Belarus.
This is the second resolution, after the one on March 2, that asked Russia to immediately stop the use of force in war.
