A group of students marched this Tuesday towards the Prime Minister, where they protested for the sixth day against the increase in the prices of hydrocarbons and basket products.
Although fewer in number, protesters point out that the government’s Social Resistance Package is not the right measure, as the rest of the population has been overlooked.
Citizens announced that there will be no protest until Saturday, stressing that the deadline for requests made public to be met by the weekend by the government.
This Tuesday morning a group of students with a megaphone invited all the young people to gather at 16:30 to march towards the Prime Minister, with their desire to bring back the 2018 protests. A small part of them boycotted the lesson.
Even in Debar, some citizens responded to the call of a group from civil society to protest against the price increase.
This revolt of citizens came after the immediate rise in the price of food products and hydrocarbons as a result of the war in Ukraine.
At today’s meeting, the National Hydrocarbon Management Board decided that the price of oil and gasoline be sold at 211 lek per liter.
