The National Council of the Democratic Party, through a secret ballot, dismissed today some members of this party who came out in support of Sali Berisha.
In a reaction from the press office of the Democratic Party, it is said that this decision was taken for non-implementation of the decision of the presidency regarding the Assembly of December 18.
The Democratic Party says that the majority today voted against the disruption and the creation of parallel structures, while emphasizing that the accusations of Sali Berisha for lack of quorum were refuted.
“The Democratic Party made public the names of 257 members of the National Council who took part in the vote to dismiss the Chairman of this Council, some members of the presidency and some secretaries for non-implementation of the presidency decision regarding the Assembly of December 18. Transparency in the presence of the media, unlike yesterday’s rally, refutes the baseless accusations of Mr. Berisha for lack of quorum. “The media, including those close to Mr. Berisha, witnessed the vote of the absolute majority of the National Council against the disruption and the creation of parallel structures on behalf of the Democrats,” says the Democratic Party.
