The citizens of Goranca, Gllobočica and Seqishta sought medical help yesterday after some symptoms such as stomach, vomiting and fever.
The Ministry of Health says that they are monitoring the situation, while the first suspicions are contamination of the drinking water.
The samples for bacterial analysis were taken from the Institute of Public Health. In the meantime, he announced that the physico-chemical analysis, except for the turbidity in two cases, resulted in normal parameters.

After receiving information from the director of the DSHMS of Hani i Elezit that since last night more than 100 people have sought medical help at the KKMF of Hani i Elezit, the team of the Regional Center of Public Health has gone to the field and has been informed that the vast majority of these persons are from the village of Gorancë and the rest from the villages of Gllobočicë and Seqishte.
The people who presented have the same symptoms: abdominal pain, vomiting, fever.
The suspicions of the director of DSHMS and that of KKMF are based on the fact that the number of people seeking medical help from the village of Gorancë has obviously increased since June 28, when a new source of drinking water was put into use, which is suspected that it is contaminated. This source together with the previous one flows into the same reservoir. The rest of the inhabitants of the village of Seqishte are supplied with water from the source of Gllobočica.
The field teams have been informed that the source of the village of Gorancë is not monitored by KRU-Bifurkation, while that of Gllobočica is.
