The Swedish Meteorological and Hydrological Institute (SMHI) on Tuesday issued an orange warning for extremely high temperatures of around 35 degrees Celsius.
These temperatures will be in the northeast of Götaland and southern Svealand, the southern part of the country, for Wednesday and Thursday.
The institute – an expert authority under the Ministry of the Environment – also issued yellow warnings for high temperatures of between 30 and 35 degrees Celsius in south-central Sweden for the same days.
