In the debate on the new project for Butrint Park, Democrat MP Jorida Tabaku accused the government of demolishing iconic buildings such as the National Theater or the “Qemal Stafa” stadium.
“You can talk about the theater, but there are two years left in the pit“, Remembers Tabaku.
Prime Minister Edi Rama was harsh in his reply to the assembly, which described the theater that collapsed two years ago as a mess that should have been demolished much earlier after “holding the national scene hostage”.
I’m sorry I could not break it earlier. Paçavure! He took the national scene hostage for 20 years. No foreign troops agreed to come and play.
Although the construction of the new theater has not started, Rama did not hesitate to invite the opposition to come and see the play “Macbeth: when it is put on the stage of the new theater.
“You are welcome to play ‘Macbeth’ at the new national theater. Many of us can go to matches, but that does not remove the fact that the law has been broken, a building that is identity for the city has been demolished. “There will be events, performances, international theater troupes.”
“Everything you defend should be destroyed,” Rama told the Democrats, because as he said “I have not seen you defend anything”.
