It’s market time and the names of footballers, as always, are being asked to be transferred to different clubs. However, in most cases it is a matter of unconfirmed media news that ultimately results in “soap bubbles”.
However, it is not always the media that spread unverified news, while recently from Spain, one of the candidates for president of Athletic Bilbao claims that if he is placed in charge of the club then he will transfer the player of Osasuna, Montecayola.
But, such a promise has prompted the immediate reaction of Osasuna’s sporting director, Braulio Vázquez, who points out that Athletic Bilbao’s presidential candidate is using the Montecayola player’s name for an electoral campaign.
“I am very sorry that a candidate for president uses the name of a football player who has a nine-year contract and who also has a clause which is public for an electoral campaign. We deserve a little more respect”, said Vazques.
