On the 19th day of the war in Ukraine, Kiev woke up to rocket and explosive bombardment, destroying a block of flats.

A Russian missile hit a residential building and left at least two people dead. The news was also confirmed by Adviser to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Anton Gerashchenko.

Elsewhere overnight, four people were injured in a rocket attack targeting administrative buildings in the village of Stavische, Zhytomyr region. A television tower near Rivne in western Ukraine was also hit by a Russian missile, but no casualties are known.

While there is still no light for peace, the next round of talks is expected to take place today. The news was confirmed by Dmitry Peskov of Russia and Mykhailo Podolyak of Ukraine. According to Reuters, the talks will take place online at 10:30 local time (08:30 GMT).
