Chinese President Xi Jinping says every effort must be made to prevent the war in Ukraine from turning into an “unmanageable situation.”
State media said Xi Jinping has expressed that the conflict between the two countries should not be allowed to expand or intensify.
He was speaking in a video call with his German counterpart, Chancellor Olaf Scholz, who held a press conference with the French president.
According to the BBC, China has tried to appear neutral in the conflict so far, calling for a peaceful solution and refusing to criticize its ally Russia for the invasion.
