An improved offer seems to have resulted in the right maneuver from Manchester United to transfer to Old Trafford, Frenkie De Jong. The English have proposed a figure of 69 million pounds to Barcelona, which the Catalans can hardly refuse due to financial problems.
Even accepting this offer from United, the Spaniards would make a profit as they would cover the investment made for De Jong in 2019 when they transferred him from the Netherlands for the figure of 65 million pounds (in other words 80 million euros), something that is very important for the club balance sheets.
Meanwhile, the English leaders are optimistic that next week will be decisive for the Dutchman, and even the officialization of the 25-year-old by June 30 may come. De Jong is an exclusive request of the new Manchester United coach, Erik ten Hag with the latter who can be considered as the midfielder’s mentor since he promoted him to Ajax.
