At the next meeting held today, the Council of Ministers has decided to dismiss the General Director of Prisons, Agim Ismaili.
The government decision states that his place is taken by Admir Abrija, while this decision entered into force immediately and was published in the Official Gazette.

Pursuant to Article 100 of the Constitution, point 2, article 26, law no. 81/2020, “On the rights and treatment of prisoners and detainees”, and point 5, chapter III, decision no.127 dated 3.3.2021, of the Council of Ministers, “On the organization and functioning of the General Directorate of Prisons”, on the proposal of the Minister of Justice, the Council of Ministers
VENDOSI:
1. Mr. Agim Ismaili, General Director of Prisons, is dismissed from this position.
2. Mr. Admir Abrija is appointed General Director of Prisons.
This decision enters into force immediately and is published in the “Official Gazette”.
