The exit of the Skërficë tunnel, on the Delvinë side, part of the Kardhiq-Delvinë road is covered by soil and stones due to a landslide recorded this afternoon.
According to the engineers of the work, the technical verification is expected to be performed tomorrow, to see if we are dealing with a serious damage or a collapse of the slope, located above the entrance of the tunnel, due to heavy rainfall.
The 1613 meter long tunnel was fully opened a few months ago, while final works are being carried out along the entire axis.
This axis, which started more than a decade ago, is expected to serve the interests of tourism in this area but also the inhabitants of more than 20 villages in the valley of Kardhiqi and that of Rrëzoma in Delvinë.
