Saturday morning found the CEC at work. Not waiting for the senders of the candidate lists but testing the anti covid disinfectant device from where they will spend midnight on Monday.
The fever of the socialist aspirants to have their name on the list will increase to a maximum on Monday after 18:00 when the chief socialist Rama will gather in the pink headquarters the electoral headquarters and through zoom this meeting will be joined by the presidency.
This will be the moment of the final ranking of the list. The strategy that the SP is following so far is clearly legible. On the one hand we see the resignation of some of the deputies of the parliamentary group with the motivation “to open the way to the youth” and on the other hand Edi Rama himself introducing new players in politics but not in age, of the socialist team such as Najada Como and engineering Luljeta Bozo.
The first to open the series of resignations was Vasilika Hysa, a respected figure in the Socialist Party with a special contribution to the drafting of justice reform laws. The reason was to pave the way for the younger ones.
Her resignation was followed by that of the professor a few words Besnik Baraj.
“Based on the new approaches in the Socialist Party and to create space for them, I have decided not to fill out the form for running as an MP,” wrote Besnik Bare on social networks.
Socialist MP Sadi Vorpsi also announced through a post on social networks that after 4 years of contribution as Prefect of Tirana District and 4 years as MP of the Socialist Party, he leaves active politics.
I have decided, says Sadri Vorpsi, to pass the baton to new streams to focus more on my family and other private engagements. Until Monday, when the way is open for young people, more resignations are expected from the socialist parliamentary group.
Although she is the youngest member of parliament, Reme Lala, after agreeing to compete in the list of SP Tirana, has resigned, leaving the baton to the youngest.
