In Kosovo, all people over the age of 60 will now be able to receive the fourth dose of the vaccine against the coronavirus, the Ministry of Health announced.
The Ministry said on July 7 that it has approved the recommendation of the Committee for immunization of the population with the vaccine against COVID-19. According to this decision, people over 60 years old, who have received the third dose at least four months ago, can also receive the fourth dose.
In Kosovo, all persons over 12 years of age can be vaccinated with the first and second dose. Meanwhile, with the third dose, all people over 18 years old.
Kosovo has recently been registering an increase in cases of the disease COVID-19.
So far, over 1.8 million doses of the vaccine have been administered. Of this figure, 103,344 people received three doses.
Since March 2020, when the first cases were registered in Kosovo, until July 6, 2022, the country has registered more than 230,000 cases of coronavirus and more than 3,000 deaths.
