Dutch airline KLM will “immediately” stop flights to Ukraine, according to CNN.
The KLM flight scheduled to land in the capital Kiev on Saturday evening has been canceled, RTL News reported, adding that KLM planes will no longer fly in Ukrainian airspace until a second announcement.
“The decision follows the regulated travel advice for red coding and a comprehensive security analysis.” said the airline in a statement, according to RTL News.
Normally, KLM flies to Kiev twice a day, NOS reported.
Earlier Saturday, the Dutch Foreign Ministry called on all Dutch people to leave Ukraine in light of the deteriorating security situation in the country.
