From the early hours of the morning, the Kosovo Police launched an action in the municipality of Shtërpce.
This action took place under the suspicion of the criminal offense of “joining in anti-constitutional actions” and the other criminal offense of “espionage”, so the Police began seizing security cameras in Shtërpce under the pretense that they were installed by illegal structures.
As a result of the action of the Kosovo police in the Municipality of Shtërpce, four locations were raided. The office of illegal structures in this municipality, the local post office and a local media and also a school.
The police seized tools for monitoring security cameras from the school. Meanwhile, in the other three locations, documents and computer equipment were seized.
While the police filled two trucks with documents from the raid, the action ended without arrests and only the school director appeared at the police for an interview, while the director of the local media remains on the run.
The mayor of this municipality, Dalibor Jevtiq, did not welcome the action against illegal structures in Shtërpcë.
“The main emphasis of today’s action was that the whole public was informed that some illegal cameras are being removed here that are used for espionage, people, this is not true and enough more untruths. They were here on Monday and checked the very room where the server is located and they didn’t find anything, let’s say illegal”said Dalibor Jevtiq, mayor of Shtërpce Municipality.
The action to attack illegal structures is also related to the former mayor of Shtërpce municipality, Bratislav Nikolic, since he is the coordinator of parallel structures in this city inhabited by a Serbian majority.
Nikolić was arrested a month ago by the Kosovo police during the action “Brezovica” for misuse of official duties, taking bribes and building without permission in the park of Brezovica.
