The court has decided to release from prison the police officers and employees of the Shkodra District Police Directorate, who were arrested two days ago on charges of abuse of office and favoring small tenders.
It is about 2 million old lek, external reconstruction of the building of the Police Station in Malesia e Madhe. They appeared today before the judging panel, where the latter set the security measure “house arrest” for 10 of them, while “compulsion to appear” for the other three.
The “house arrest” decision was made for Saimir Rrustem, Luida Ujka, Mustaf Ishmaku, Xhavit Isufi, Rudina Keqi, Klement Tola, Paulin Prend, Armand Basha, Rezart Prela and Veronika Xhanaj.
Meanwhile, “compulsory appearance” was decided for Arsenida Hadri, Briland Mnela and Altion Basha.
While the session was being held, dozens of citizens protested in front of the Shkodra Court, supporting the Chief Commissioner Sajmir Rrustemi, for whom they do not spare the evaluations. The people of Shkodran say that this is a deliberate action to damage the image of a policeman dear to the city.
