The video published by the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense and made viral on social media shows in a few seconds the drama experienced by the Ukrainian people from the brutal Russian aggression, a drama which knows no end. 4-year-old Lisa Dimitreva was walking with her mother when one of the Russian rockets that hit the city of Vinnytsia on Thursday fell near them. The little girl died on the spot, while her mother, Irina, had her leg broken and is hospitalized. A woman who worked with Irina wrote on Facebook that they were at the heart of the explosions. “The girl died on the spot. Ira is in critical condition in intensive care. So much sorrow, so many tears… There is no more strength…”, she said. 22 people lost their lives from the attack, and over 100 others were injured, while Vinnytsia’s peace was lost once and for all.
According to a local military, the rockets that sowed death in the city were launched from a Russian submarine. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that the attack was aimed at civilian targets. The attack occurred as government officials from about 40 countries met in The Hague to discuss coordinating investigations and prosecutions of possible war crimes committed in Ukraine.
“Russia is destroying the civilian population every day, killing Ukrainian children, directing missiles at civilian objects. Where there are no military (objectives). What is it if not an overt act of terrorism?“, Zelensky said on Telegram.
