18 fires were reported during the last 24 hours, while 99 fire engines were involved in the operation to extinguish them.
The figures were made public by the Ministry of Defense, according to which, currently, 5 fires continue to be active.

According to data from the National Operational Center for Civil Emergencies, 18 fires were reported in the last 24 hours.
13 fires were extinguished, specifically:
In the village of Mollas, Cerrik, in the village of Ramanat, the municipality of Durrës, in the village of Bogovë, the municipality of Skrapar, in the villages of Kishe Arrë and Barbullush, the municipality of Vau Dejës, in the villages of Kosan, Zagorë, and Dragovojë, the municipality of Malesi e Madhe, in the village of Rrenc, the municipality Shkodër, in the village of Risili, Vlorë municipality, in the village of Panaja and Kerkovë, Vlorë municipality, in the village of Karbunarë, Lushnjë municipality.
During the last 24 hours, 26 fire engines, 99 effective fire fighters, 11 municipal forces, 9 forces from the National Agency of Protected Areas, 12 forces from the forest service, 35 volunteer forces, as well as the capacities at the central level were engaged, 32 effective Armed Forces and 20 state police forces

In Berzane, Lezhë municipality, where yesterday the situation worsened in the afternoon, but thanks to the work of the forces on the ground, it was managed to be brought under control. Today, there was another operation in the early hours of the morning for the final extinguishing of the fire.
The fire in the village of Terpan in the place called “Qafa e Kumbules”, Poliçan municipality, where the capacities at the district level were engaged and it was achieved to keep the Mema and Hyraj neighborhoods out of danger. Today, the work continued for its final extinction.
In Shetaj village, Durrës municipality, there is currently only one fire which continues to burn within its perimeter with low intensity. The fire service forces monitor it 24 hours a day.
The foci have been isolated in Elbasan District, Prrenjas municipality in the beech forest in the protected area in Starovë and Funaras village in Librazhd municipality. Today, the intervention by the operational forces has begun for their final suppression.
The structures of the civil defense system, such as those at the local level and at the central level, are in full readiness with all the capacities from the ground and the air to keep the situation under control in the whole country.
The Ministry of Defense/AKMC appeals to the citizens for increased caution in these days with high temperatures, in the use of tools that can cause fire.
We repeat emphatically, do not under any circumstances throw cigarette butts in areas where there is grass, as there is a possibility of starting a fire! Do not start fires in the forest! If you start a campfire, don’t leave without making sure it’s completely out!
The clearing of pastures by fire is done only with the authorization of the forestry enterprise of the district where the pasture is located. Please, citizens, immediately report fires to the fire services, so that they can be contained as soon as possible, in order not to risk causing incalculable damage.
We remind you that intentional or negligent fires are punishable by law.
