An unfortunate woman has captured the gruesome photo of her killer pointing her gun, moments before he shot her to death in front of her son.
Ana Paula Ruiz, 41, was killed on the street when she was confronted with what had been stolen from her son’s motorcycle in Chiapas, southern Mexico, on February 19.
The son of the victim, Miguel Alejandro, had come to the Hotel Arrecife de Coral, where his mother worked as a receptionist, to pick him up at the end of the shift around 23.00 according to local reports.
He had parked his motorcycle near the hotel but realized it had been stolen a few minutes after he left.
Together with his mother they set out to search the outskirts of the country before finding the man on Miguel’s motorcycle.
As they confronted, an accomplice of the robber comes on stage with another motorcycle. The second person had pulled out a gun and started threatening the duo with it.
Ruiz had pulled out her phone and taken pictures of the person before the heartless criminal shot her with cold blood.
After the attack, the robbers fled the scene, leaving behind the stolen motorcycle.
Ruiz was taken to Las Culturas Hospital but died the next morning.
Chiapas prosecutors said an investigation is under way into the violent robbery and murder.
Locals have been shocked by the event and have launched an awareness campaign on social media. The woman had four children who have already been orphaned. Investigations continue.
