“If an invasion were to come from Belarus, if Russian troops were to be permanently stationed on their territory, NATO might have to reassess the position of our force in the countries bordering Belarus,” he added. The US and NATO fear that military gatherings could be preparation for a possible invasion, something Moscow has denied.
