Iranian military officials warned today that the attackers would pay a “heavy price”. The news was made public today by state media, following reports that the United States and Israel were planning possible military exercises to prepare for attacks against Iran’s nuclear facilities.

A senior US official told Reuters on Thursday that US and Israeli military leaders were expected to discuss possible military exercises in preparation for the worst-case scenario of Iran’s nuclear disaster if diplomacy fails.
