Tirana Police has handcuffed a person as part of the operation codenamed “The invitation” after collaborating with others to provide assistance to foreign nationals for illegal border crossings.
AB, 49 years old, resident in Vaqarr, Tirana, was arrested for the criminal offense “Assistance for illegal border crossing” committed in collaboration; and the citizens FB (D), 43 years old, HD, 67 years old and AH (D), resident in Vaqarr, Tirana, were prosecuted.
Investigations have shown that in cooperation with other persons, mainly in Egypt, they provided fictitious invitations for various foreign persons, mainly from Egypt, to come to Albania, with the justification for tourist purposes, who were then given provided assistance to leave our country illegally towards EU countries.
Meanwhile, work continues to identify other persons involved in this criminal activity.
The materials were forwarded to the Prosecutor’s Office of the Tirana Judicial District, for further procedural actions, for the criminal offense “Assistance in illegal border crossing” committed in cooperation.
