Greek police forces have located and arrested three of the five arrested from the detention center in Chania, Crete.
It is about the 43-year-old Albanian, a member of the gang of armed robbers in Attica, sentenced to life imprisonment, the 29-year-old Albanian convicted of drug trafficking and the 32-year-old Albanian who has been convicted of robbery.
According to police information, the group of five people was separated after escaping from the detention center, three of them stole a car and fled to Iraklios.
Police initially located the abandoned vehicle in the city center and a few minutes later found the three arrested on a nearby street. During the search, authorities found and confiscated a knife and a small amount of cannabis and heroin.
The detainees did not resist! Authorities are continuing to search for the other two convicts. The 34-year-old Pakistani, sentenced to three years in prison for three murders, and the 34-year-old Albanian, convicted of drug trafficking, are wanted.
The two fugitives are said to have been hiding in Chania, while three police officers have been suspended for their escape and an internal investigation has been opened for five others.
