Citizen Jorgos Zani has been under the influence of commanding hallucinations and bizarre delusions, before, during and after the commission of the criminal offense. Which have completely upset his mental balance making him irresponsible before the law.
During the period of stay in the institution, Jorgos Zani has manifested a decreased psycho-emotional state with effective fluctuations. On April 4, 2017 he committed attempted murder by consuming a quantity of detergent. He committed this act due to stress as a result of harassment by other detainees.
Because of the horrific proportions of the event he carried out, even the other prisoners did not pardon him. They even said that they would create an “incident” if they were alone with him. Jorgos Zani showed the first obvious sign of mental disorders during his stay in the neighboring country.
“Jorgoja is ill and has gone through mental depression where he was locked up at home for a month, he left a beard. I got in touch with a private doctor and he gave me a prescription where he accepted the treatment and I gave it to him with his knowledge. Initially the medication had complications as it froze him like a human and foamed out of his mouth. I took other medications and he started to react, I slept with him until he started talking until one day he went out and his condition started to improve “said Jorgo Zani’s father.
From that moment Jorgoja started to be problematic by drinking narcotics and getting involved with other people. He had been beaten many times. He had been detained many times by the police, until the moment came when the Greek state demanded that he leave permanently. “In 2009, I remember the exact time, they brought me an order from the police with the motivation of a very dangerous person for the community and the security of the state. Where they forced my son Jorgo to leave Greece immediately. I personally brought it to Albania, to the Palace in a room in the old houses of my father who had given it to me ‘said Jorgo Zani’s father.
Seeing the danger this person posed, Greece demanded his immediate departure. While the Albanian state has not taken his illness seriously. Doctors have not determined the danger to society, nor have they kept it closed in the institutions that treat these patients.
After the whole event, justice decided that Jorgos Zani should serve his sentence in Kruja prison. But on September 27, 2017 he committed the act of suicide, jumping from a height. After a failed attempt, on Wednesday morning George Zani ended his life by closing the chapter of a monstrous crime.
