The General Director of the Social Insurance Institute, Astrit Hado told “Top Talk” the consequences of not declaring real wages.
He said that not declaring the real salary is a loss for the individual as it affects the pension he will receive after a few years.
“It is an even greater damage for the individual himself who does not declare it because this individual who is young today does not yet think about retirement. People need to start thinking about retirement without retiring“, Said Hado.
According to statistics released by Hado, the average salary of contributions in 2021 was 3.7-3.8% higher than a year earlier.
These statistics show an improvement of the situation which will affect the pensions of citizens.
Hado stressed that we have a reduction in the number of workers working illegally because they think about the contributions that will affect the pension.
Social security has been a problem over the years in Albania, where a significant number worked illegally.
This way of employment has negatively affected the social contributions, which will have consequences for the retiree.
In recent years, this no longer remains a problem as employers make the transparency of salaries and conditions set by the relevant institutions.
