Jozefina Topalli: The PD opposition has never been easy. But you are as much as I am aware that this opposition did not deserve it. Movement It was yeast. The pulpit was the most beautiful thing that could happen to awaken the structures. The December 11 Assembly was the first important step to break away from the bargains. Today’s Assembly is another milestone in the battle to find itself. We know that the battle before us will be strong. And. Is not the first time. We know that recovery is more difficult than the beginning. But, from experience I remember that no matter how many obstacles you have in front of you, nothing stops most of the citizens who want change. I know! There are many cynics who say we will not succeed.
I heard them many years ago, I heard them a few years ago, when sometimes together with other colleagues and sometimes I just did not stop fighting for a non-false opposition. Even though I knew “how dangerous it is then right when the boss is wrong”. I know! Cynics will increase and become louder in the coming weeks and months. They may say that we are giving false hope to people. But in the history of battles for truth, there can be nothing false that has to do with hope. Others can put walls on us. It may seem strange, but in times of locks and armored doors, “every wall is a gate.” In my family when I was little I was taught that: – “A person can fall several times, but it is never possible until the moment he refuses to get up” This applies to what happens to us in life, but also in politics . True! Our party today is actually wounded, and we need to get out of trauma and confusion. We have an instinct, but not an argument about what it means to be a democrat… ..as a society we have problems with the culture of democracy… to a great debate on democracy is important even after the Assembly .. It is paradoxical but real that we live in the digital age, but also in the time of the challenge that autocracy is making to democracy. What happens to our political class is its proof. We continue to face an existential challenge for the opposition and pluralism. But we can put hope before fear. Only that again a condition is needed: – to be true. That’s why we’re here together. How many times have we been true Albanians have trusted us… when we became pragmatists they took away our trust. And they were right. So basically our challenge is to gain trust. He is not won by force; as me declarations. Faith is gained by works and truths; and from the latter we should not be afraid! I have always thought that it is not only power that corrupts, but also fear! When we had very difficult challenges, when we were told that we should not try, that we would not succeed, the Albanians responded with a timeless credo: Yes! We will do our battle and win! We have nothing to fear but fear. This is what I say to myself most often.
