Destroyed houses, rubbish-filled streets, despair among residents: a powerful tornado caused incalculable damage in the town of Seminola in Oklahoma, USA.

Authorities decided to keep schools closed, while another tornado hit the town of Locket in Texas, very close to the border with Oklahoma. No casualties were reported from the tornado at the moment, but the damage is enormous.
“This is not a metropolis, these are simple village houses,” said local authorities. Firefighting rescue teams are going door-to-door to check if there are injured people or in need of help.
Storms in the area at a time when weather forecasters had warned of a significant deterioration in atmospheric conditions in Oklahoma, Texas. Fist-sized hail also fell in southwest Oklahoma.
