One citizen has been arrested and another has been declared wanted for allegedly helping illegal immigrants in our country.
The 32-year-old with the initials OI has fallen into the hands of the police, after he was caught transporting three illegal immigrants with his vehicle on the Tepelena-Krahës road axis in exchange for profit.
While the 44-year-old with initials LR, 44 years old, resident in Përmet, did not obey the order of the officers, to stop and abandoned the vehicle in the rural axis Gjirokastra- “Asim Zeneli”.
Investigative actions have shown that this citizen was transporting some illegal immigrants.
Two vehicles and two mobile phones were seized as material evidence.
The two suspects will be investigated by the Gjirokastra Prosecutor’s Office, for the criminal offenses “Assisting in illegal border crossing” and “Disobeying the order of a public order police officer”.
