Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba has appealed to international companies to freeze or abandon their operations in Russia.
He called for joining the ethically and socially responsible global businesses that have suspended their operations in Russia. According to him, this is a way for them not to contribute to the increase of violence, killings and crimes against humanity.
“I urge you and your organization to join the ethically and socially responsible global businesses, which have already stopped or suspended operations in or with the Russian Federation, refusing to fund violence, killings and crimes against humanity with their taxes. “, Said Kuleba, in a post on Twitter.
Kuleba further writes that once Ukraine wins the war they will work hard to become a full member of the European Union.
“Once Ukraine wins this war, we will begin to rebuild our infrastructure and economy, continuing the path of reform to become a full member of the European Union. In this regard, I would like to invite your company to express solidarity with Ukraine and join other multinational companies, which have already expressed their readiness to start or resume business in my country, “adds Kuleba.
So far some companies have blocked their operations in Russia, while others, such as Coca Cola and MacDonalds, are facing a backlash for not withdrawing from Russia.
