More than 1,000 women and children have been sheltered in the bombed-out theater in Mariupol, said Ukrainian MP Dmytro Gurin.
The theater has been attacked by the Russians and the number of victims is not yet known.
Stone, whose parents are trapped in the city, told the British broadcaster, the BBC: The theater building is destroyed, we have more than 1,000 women and children sheltered in the basement of the theater.
“A few minutes ago we received information that people have survived. We do not yet know if we have people injured or killed. But it seems that most of them have survived”.
