The Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti urged the citizens of the Presevo Valley not to remain indifferent, but to vote for the coalition of Albanians of the Valley now that the elections in Bujanovac are repeated.
“Even a small persecution of votes could make a difference and change the situation in such a way that Albanians secure a seat in the Serbian Parliament,” he wrote on Facebook.
When you: Following the decision to repeat the elections in polling station 6 in Bujanovac, the chances have increased that the leader of the list of the Coalition of Albanians of the Valley, Shaip Kamberi, will win another seat…. 650 votes are needed or 60% of citizens from the voting list that Mr. Kamberi to continue representing Albanians.
Shaip Kamberi deserves to be in the Assembly of Serbia, where for two consecutive terms, he turned into a strong voice during the parliamentary sessions in defense of the rights of Albanians and in the denunciation of the autocratic regime in Serbia, argued the Prime Minister of Kosovo.
Due to low turnout, neither of the two Albanian minority electoral lists from southern Serbia crossed the threshold in the April 3rd elections, so Albanians will have no representatives in the composition of the new Serbian parliament.
Kamberi, who ran in the April 3 elections within the Coalition of Albanians of the Valley, had demanded a repeat of the vote, as according to him these elections were characterized by low turnout of Albanians, due to the passivity of the addresses of Albanians.
