The Minister of Health and Social Protection, Ogerta Manastirliu, from the Panel of Health and Social Welfare, organized before the Congress of the Socialist Party, said that the list of reimbursable drugs will be further expanded to help the category of pensioners.
“We provided for more than 400 thousand citizens and we continue to provide reimbursable drugs, where the first and only alternative in the list of reimbursed drugs is free, but should we do more? Of course yes. “We will enable the pensioners, that the most needy groups, those pensioners who have our high pensions, to be able to access a list of medical equipment such as diabetes chips”, declared Manastirliu.
Among other things, Manastirliu stated that the salaries of doctors and nurses will continue to increase by 40% during this term, while underlining that hospital autonomy will eliminate abuses in the health system.
“Salaries for doctors and nurses have increased by 63%. We will continue to increase salaries this year for doctors and nurses starting from July 1, despite the difficulties we will complete our commitment and within this mandate will increase up to 40% and we will not stop here because Hospital Autonomy as a new model for the management and financing of the hospital system will enable our staff to be paid according to performance. But what we care about is service to people. “Hospital autonomy is a practice that will lead to the elimination of any abuse in the health system”, stressed Manastirliu during his speech at the Health and Social Protection panel, before the start of the SP Congress.
