A prominent pro-Russian politician has been handcuffed today in Ukraine and this news has been made public by Ukrainian President Volodymir Zelensky.
Viktor Medvedchuk had escaped from house arrest in February and was seen today wearing a Ukrainian military uniform.
The Ukrainian security service said it had arrested Medvedchuk in a “dangerous” special operation. The Ukrainian politician, who says that Russian President Vladimir Putin is his daughter’s godfather, is the subject of a case of betrayal but nevertheless he denies any wrongdoing.
